Redesigning for Covid-19: What Design Decisions Have We Made To Create a Cleaner, Healthier and Safe Credit Union
We’ve been working on an array of different projects. We've got so much to show and we’ve been patiently waiting to show you the inside look at our process.
Granite Credit Union in Taylorsville for several months. We had started the design process before the COVID pandemic hit and halted production throughout quarantine.
Things in Utah Valley have opened up a little more and Granite Credit Union reached out to start production again. We were excited to jump right back into the project and have had several meetings about their new design needs.
This commercial grade furniture will be easy to clean and disinfect.
We are restructuring our design decisions because of the widespread pandemic. It’s been quite fascinating to see the changes throughout the world because of COVID-19. We want to do our part to slow the spread and help Here are the biggest changes we’re making to ensure safety for clients and employees.
Transparent Screens:
We’ve added a sheet of glass at the teller pods between the teller and the clients
who come in. You’ve seen these pop up around grocery stores, fast food restaurants, and shops. We’re installing easy to clean glass. This will help keep employees and clients safe- even if they’re not the full 6 feet apart.
Air Filtering System:
We’ve upgraded the air filtering system in the building. This air filtering system will purify the recycled air. Although this isn’t a full solution for preventing all SARS-CoV-2 containing particles and droplets, it definitely makes a difference in the air quality and prevents some.
Floor Markings:
To encourage clients who come in to stand the full six feet apart you will see floor markings. These floor markings will show clients where to stand while waiting.
Soda Cans:
The soda machine will be replaced with a fridge filled with soda.
